(No&#8230; Seriously)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Cine2DVD we don\u2019t just work tirelessly to help you and yours <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/super8_film.php\" target=\"_blank\">transfer Super8 to DVD<\/a>; we live for films in all formats \u2013 including the cinema.\u00a0 But before we go on any further, we have to tell you that the following blog <strong><em>will contain spoilers<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>to some of the greatest films to grace the big screen<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In honour of the finale of <em>Game of Thrones<\/em>, famous for their blood-and-bone-laden plot twists and protagonist-heavy-graveyards, we thought we\u2019d rubberneck at some of the greatest plot twists of all time.\u00a0 So, if you don\u2019t want to know the scores&#8230; <strong><em>look away now!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s face it, if you haven\u2019t seen some of the following films by now, then you\u2019re begging to have them ruined, but because we\u2019re nice here at Cine2DVD, we thought we\u2019d give you the heads up.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the following twists are so engrained in popular culture that it\u2019s hard to remember a time when we didn\u2019t know Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker\u2019s estranged papa or that that planet with all those chimps knocking about on it was actually Earth; so let\u2019s have a look at some of cinema\u2019s best twists that made our list.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Star Wars Episode V: Empire Strikes Back (1980)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZbV5hn_ET0U\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As we\u2019ve mentioned it already, let\u2019s talk about the moment when Luke Skywalker found out his dad was killed by Darth Vader, but that his mortal enemy was indeed his father.\u00a0 Though often misquoted, \u201cNo.\u00a0 I am your father!\u201d is one of cinema\u2019s most iconic moments, and recognised by fans of all ages.\u00a0 Initially, the critical response was somewhat negative, claiming that the story had no beginning or end; although as the middle instalment in the original trilogy, I think we can probably let Lucas off with that one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Planet of the Apes (1968)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Selected in Empire\u2019s 500 Greatest Movies of All Time, <em>Planet of the Apes<\/em> see astronaut, George Taylor, crash lands on a planet in the year AD 3978, only to discover it inhabited by \u201cdamn dirty apes\u201d. The big reveal occurs as Charlton Heston\u2019s character is walking along the shoreline of the alien planet, only to discover the remains of The Statue of Liberty caused by the onset of a former global thermonuclear war: \u201cYou maniacs! You blew it up!\u201d How very topical.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fight Club (1999)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Bar-Code-iStock_000000485549_Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-230\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Bar-Code-iStock_000000485549_Medium-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"Bar Code - iStock_000000485549_Medium\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Bar-Code-iStock_000000485549_Medium-300x217.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Bar-Code-iStock_000000485549_Medium-1024x740.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Fight Club<\/em>\u2019s narration is based around Edward Norton\u2019s unnamed character, whose life orientated around the 9-5 and a materialistic approach to life. That is, until he met Tyler Durden, played by Brad Pitt. Durden is the leader of an underground fight club and persuades Norton\u2019s unnamed \u2018everyman\u2019\u00a0 to join to bolster his deteriorating masculinity. The twist?\u00a0 Norton <em>is<\/em> Tyler Durden.\u00a0 As an extra hint to the viewer, Tyler Durden appears in split second flashes throughout the film, much like the images Durden cuts into the films he projects as his job at a cinema, albeit a little less naughty&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sixth Sense (1999)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Ghost-Child-iStock_000007068178_Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-229\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Ghost-Child-iStock_000007068178_Medium-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Ghost Child - iStock_000007068178_Medium\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Ghost-Child-iStock_000007068178_Medium-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Ghost-Child-iStock_000007068178_Medium-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Ghost-Child-iStock_000007068178_Medium.jpg 1698w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Annoyingly, even if you hadn\u2019t seen this film, you will most likely have known the ending, thanks to blabber-mouths who bore witness to one of cinema\u2019s more famous twists.\u00a0 Bruce Willis\u2019 character, a child psychologist, befriends a young boy who has the unfortunate and unenviable skill of being able to \u201csee dead people\u201d.\u00a0 Without initially realising, Willis is revealed in the finale to be a ghost himself, realising that all the times where he assumed he was being ignored, he wasn\u2019t even there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shutter Island\u00a0(2010)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Kings-Park-Psychiatric-Centre-iStock_000029879392_Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-232\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Kings-Park-Psychiatric-Centre-iStock_000029879392_Medium-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Kings Park Psychiatric Centre - iStock_000029879392_Medium\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Kings-Park-Psychiatric-Centre-iStock_000029879392_Medium-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Kings-Park-Psychiatric-Centre-iStock_000029879392_Medium-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Kings-Park-Psychiatric-Centre-iStock_000029879392_Medium.jpg 1700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A contemporary film with an insane twist, Shutter Island sees Leonardo Di Caprio play a US Marshall who goes to a hospital for the criminally insane in search an escaped resident.\u00a0 This is, however, somewhat fabricated by the doctors of Ashecliffe Hospital, and Leo discovers he is actually a patient himself.\u00a0 Bit annoying that, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p>There are so many twists throughout cinema history that are more than worthy of a write up, but if we did that, when would you ever find time to catch up on your <em>Game of Thrones<\/em>?\u00a0 Also we can\u2019t, in all good conscience, be ruining every twist for you.\u00a0 We do hope however that you have enjoyed reminiscing on some of movies greatest twists, and that we haven\u2019t ruined them for you!<\/p>\n<p>At Cine2DVD we love being able to help you recapture all of the moments you\u2019ve captured and transfer them to DVD.\u00a0 And while we understand there may be no <em>Se7en<\/em> or <em>Usual Suspects<\/em>-style reveal, these moments matter.\u00a0 So for help with transferring your treasured memories, please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cine2dvdtransfers.co.uk\/contact.php\" target=\"_blank\">contact us<\/a> on 0800 592433 and speak to one of our team of friendly staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Cine2DVD we don\u2019t just work tirelessly to help you and yours transfer Super8 to DVD;
