When it comes to taking care of your
memories, technology can make it difficult to keep up.
Family holidays or great adventures recorded onto Cinetape
won't be compatible with your new DVD player, and what about
Gran's cine films of her young children? How do you play
that.
One Aylesbury based company has handled countless hours of
tape and spools of film since they began more than 20 years
ago, and sis still moving with the times to help customers
keep their memories up to date.
From their studios their team of trained technicians works
daily to transfer old cine films and all makes and formats
of videotapes into brand new DVDs.
The nerve centre of the processing building reveals many TV
screens all simultaneously transferring filmed from their
original source onto DVD.
This was a fascinating sight, as hours of memories rolled
by. Our reporter saw glimpses of family holidays, tiny
babies with proud parents, weddings, holidays and much many
happy hours on the beach.
Staff commented "It's nice to be able to process the films
and videos because we feel we have a little window into
peoples lives and memories gone by" and joked about the
number of times they have seen Disney Land. Despite this,
every transfer is different equally as special as the next.
To us it might not look special, but to our customers these
are precious memories. You can't put a price on that which
is why we treat everything with care"
