Oscars 2017: The Big Contenders

With the most anticipated film awards ceremony this Sunday, the 89th Academy Awards will see some of the best films in the recent years’ fight for the big awards. Amongst the powerful stories are some of Hollywood’s best examples of cinematography and storytelling.

Hidden Figures

This critically acclaimed film could win the big award this Sunday. With critics giving positive feedback on its powerful telling of the story of a team mathematicians comprised of African-American women working for NASA in the beginnings of the American space program. Although it has only three nominations, its impact is undeniable.
